Job Summary

Codal is looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our growing HR team. The Technical Recruiter will develop ongoing talent pipelines for technical positions and identify strong candidates for open roles across the organization. You will be responsible for partnering with hiring managers within Engineering, Product, QA, and UX/UI Design to create hiring plans and scale their teams.

The ideal Recruiter, Talent Sourcing is an effective team collaborator, problem solver, improvement guru, with a commitment to providing exceptional candidate experiences every day. This position delivers a high volume of qualified and diverse candidates, while guiding hiring managers and applicants through the selection process. This individual is passionate about finding great talent – a hunter, researcher at heart - with an external focus driving top performing talent to Codal. Ultimately, you will proactively identify our hiring needs and help us fill our vacancies with qualified employees.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on, full-cycle recruiting support for critical, hard-to-fill technical positions
  • Working with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and help draft job postings to attract the right candidates
  • Source, engage, and evaluate top-tier technical, product, creative talent
  • Building a pipeline of diverse candidates to fill current and future needs of the organization
  • Pre-screen candidates over the phone, drive the interview process, and follow-up with hiring managers for feedback
  • Managing candidate pipeline and communication process to ensure that there is a positive candidate experience, regardless of outcome
  • Managing applicant tracking system data and inform the team of overall recruitment status and progress
  • Work with leaders to build out structured interview processes to ensure a fair and equitable process for each candidate
  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks Coordinate with hiring managers to determine position requirements
  • Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g. Boolean search)


  • 3+ years experience in a recruiting role for a high-growth tech startup (in-house experience preferred)
  • Successful history of staffing positions at all project levels and experience with all phases and roles of a Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ability to speak comfortably to basic tech stack architecture, front-end, and back-end engineering profiles as well as testing roles
  • Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - priorities are constantly shifting, and we stay agile to adjust and support our business needs
  • Experience hiring diverse technical talent
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing candidates, including passive candidates
  • Experience sourcing candidates on LinkedIn and other social media platforms
  • Experience negotiating with and closing candidates
