eCommerce Sales Associate

Roles & Responsibilities

Codal is searching for a proven eCommerce expert to act as part of a Sales and Marketing Team to hunting new eCommerce business for Codal. With veritable experience in both sales and eCommerce, our ideal candidate will be a high-energy, driven professional with sound eCommerce acumen, strong technical aptitude, and natural sales instincts.

As an eCommerce Sales Associate at Codal, you will help grow this division by generating and qualifying eCommerce leads, working with prospects to identify an opportunity to partner together and ultimately sell them our eCommerce services that meet their business and technical needs. Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of our eCommerce services
  • Identify new prospects through research
  • Add new prospects to Salesforce system on a regular basis
  • Develop and manage email campaigns
  • Report all sales activities in Salesforce
  • Secure introductory calls/meetings with prospects for the Sales/Marketing team
  • Assist the sales/marketing team in the creation of proposals and pitches
  • Assist in closing sales by understanding current and long-term customer needs
  • Track and report on the status of all proposal components
  • Assist in developing sales projections, budgets, and pricing
  • Report outcome of negotiations/proposals that effectively set expectations for teams going forward, i.e. clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations
  • Assist in the development of and report on pipeline metrics
  • Meet or exceed quotas

Requirements / Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is preferred
  • 4-5 years of technology and/or creative sales experience, preferably in the eCommerce industry
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento etc) or eCommerce applications (ERP system, PIM System, API’s, Payment Gateways, Algolia, Avalara, MailChimp, Power Reviews, ZenDesk)
  • Proven ability to secure appointments with new prospects
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • A passion and understanding of our services and approach and how it assists brands
  • Strong relationship development skills
  • Strong presentation skills and demonstrated effectiveness communicating with key stakeholders
  • Ability to bring existing clients/work with you would be extremely desirable
  • Strong technical aptitude
