Job Summary 

Codal is seeking an innovative Account Manager who has eCommerce experience, to join us in our Lincoln, UK location. In this role, you will manage relationships with unique, cutting-edge eCommerce brands across numerous industries. In eCommerce Sales, you will help to bring work from the EMEA to the local office, showcasing and championing our Shopify and BigCommerce partnerships and expertise. As Account Manager, you will manage relationships with each of these clients through ongoing communication and analysis, helping to develop and drive strategies aimed at growing one another's mutual business. 

You’ll develop and deploy strategic eCommerce improvement roadmaps, backed by extensive user research and data. You will serve as a point person for our clients, as well as Codal’s internal eCommerce specialists. To be successful in this role, we’ll need you to have a background in eCommerce strategy, with a solid understanding of UX best practices and the ability to demonstrate ROI through data. 

Account Managers wear several hats when managing clients, but your core responsibilities will be client satisfaction and ongoing relationship building. You will become an eCommerce expert and clients will look to you for guidance on how to optimize their online business. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute on innovative eCommerce strategies for Codal’s diverse client base
  • Oversee eCommerce strategy development across multiple touch points, including websites, apps, product launches, in-store digital experiences, and more.
  • Speak with clients to understand business requirements and translate those into design and technical requirements. 
  • Maintain, strengthen and grow customer relationships through comprehensive strategy, oversight and management of accounts
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to identify e-commerce marketplace/drop-ship opportunities and develop business case to pursue
  • Act as the primary point-of-contact with buying teams to ensure that business needs are being met in a timely and efficient manner – including the negotiation of vendor agreements and ongoing sales/promotional opportunities
  • Report on sales performance and identify revenue opportunities to improve strategic position
  • Assists in developing product database attributes and working with customer product spreadsheets
  • Overseeing your customer base and generating incremental sales from inception to completion
  • Responsible for driving annual eCommerce growth while extending profitable market share growth for Beam Suntory within the channel.
  • Customer facing role that prepares presentation documents and verbally present to customers across a range of topics, including: partnership exploration, quarterly/annual business reviews, programming ideas, contracts with Third Parties, and more.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with eCommerce clients and partnerships 
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including design, development, and product/project. 
  • Track and collate channel performance of accounts on a weekly/monthly basis and create quarterly performance presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and make recommendations back into the business on how we can optimize and grow market share.

 

Requirements  

  • 2+ years experience in an eCommerce marketing role with an emphasis on sales/account management  
  • Education- Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) required, preferably in a business discipline
  • Experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento 
  • Experience in defining the direction, experience, functionality, and marketing services of either a new or existing online offering
  • Ability to use data to optimize all aspects of the customer experience, including promotion, checkout flow, order management, and more
  • Experience taking test and learn approaches to predict impact and deploy superior eCommerce solutions
