Job Summary
Codal is seeking a highly-skilled Engineer Lead. In this role, you will manage the architecture and evolution of solutions for our diverse client base.
We’ll need you to provide thought leadership and make significant technological decisions that modernize and maintain our systems and practices. Working alongside our product management team, you will help scope incoming project opportunities, make architecture recommendations, and solve challenges for our clients with the best available technologies.
As an Engineer Lead, you will make recommendations and decisions throughout project life cycles on technology, frameworks, and approaches. We’ll need you to have excellent communication skills to effectively articulate these decisions to clients, as well as our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding project requirements with minimal assistance
- Research new technologies, new solutions
- Execute development activities assigned to them
- Documenting, and building server-side applications
- Ensuring that development happens according to established processes of code quality
- Participating in all phases of software development including design, development, testing, and support
- Managing existing databases to ensure proper functionality and optimizations
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of coding experience
- Have developed multiple SAAS applications from the ground-up
- Familiarity with microservices architectures
- Hands-on Cloud development and deployment experience with AWS
- Have used Real-Time Systems such as Firebase or similar
- Experience with RESTful APIs & GraphQL
- Coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, React JS and React Native
- Familiarity with technologies such as NGINX, Node.js , PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, React Native,
- Familiarity with Github, Swagger, Xcode, Android Studio
- Familiarity with cybersecurity & monitoring tools
- Proficiency with JIRA
