Job Summary

Codal is searching for a dedicated and experienced UX designer to craft usable and useful for our clients. A senior UX designer will utilize the latest user research, synthesis, and validation techniques to define a results-driven strategy that meets business and user requirements. They will then execute that strategy by designing user-centric, simple, and engaging interfaces informed by the latest UX design practices. Lastly, our ideal candidate will leverage their years of industry experience crafting intuitive, user-centric digital experiences to mentor other designers, as well as offer high-level guidance and feedback on project work.

Candidates must provide a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of UX techniques and processes. Other responsibilities include: 

Key Responsibilities

• Design wireframes and testable prototypes using industry standard tools like Sketch and invision
• Conduct discovery or generative user research in the interviews and observations
• Moderate usability testing session
• Translate user needs into design direction through user flows, journeys, personas and other documentation
• Collaborate with PMs, clients, and other members of the UX team to identify user needs and product specifications
• Effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Regularly providing project updates and reports to clients and internal stakeholders
• Plan the day-by-day execution of client deliverables for a team than can include up to three junior designers

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of verifiable UX experience designing web applications and other software 
• An online portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of both UX techniques and best practices
• Proficiency with Sketch, Axure, and Invision
• Familiarity with the Agile project methodology
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment
